Mikael Vainio
Mikael Vainio works as an senior EU advisor for transport and education policy at the Helsinki EU Office. In addition to various expert tasks, he is responsible for the planning and implementation of EU advocacy events and meetings. In addition, he is responsible for various communication tasks.
In the past, Mikael has worked at the Helsinki EU Office as an EU planner, assistant to the first vice-president of the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels, and as an intern at the Permanent Representation of Finland to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. Mikael Vainio has a master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Jyväskylä.
