Helsinki EU Office welcomes two new member organizations while Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare and Arcada University of Applied Sciences became our member organisations on 1 MAY 2020. As an independent expert agency working under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare is a preferred partner in domestic and international research. Arcada provides high-quality education for 2700 students within Business Administration, sports, media, culture, social- and health care and technology as well as broad research and innovation activities both nationally and internationally.
Helsinki EU Office now represents altogether 16 top players from Finland in Brussels. With our new member organizations we continue to supervise our stakeholders’ interests and promote their visibility in different EU fora by providing information regarding the preparation of EU legislation, EU funding programmes, events, co-operation, as well as networking opportunities.
Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare
The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) is an independent expert agency working under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. THL studies, monitors, and develops measures to promote the well-being and health of the population in Finland by gathering and producing information based on research and register data. THL provides expertise and solutions to support decision making with various parties: the government, municipal and provincial decision-makers, actors in the social welfare and health sector, organisations, the research community, and the public. Arcada University of Applied Sciences
Arcada is a multi-professional university of applied sciences (UAS) with campus located in Helsinki. Arcada offers high-quality practice-oriented higher education at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels as well as further education within Business Administration, sports, media, culture, social- and health care and technology.
